Deleuze attempts to “cut through” the various forms of expression and content that are the artistic creation of Leopold von Sacher-Masoch. I enjoy Deleuze’s literary approach to Freud and Masoch, though I do think that his analysis is not a replacement for case studies.
Additionally, according to Deleuze and his concepts of difference, there is no identity, and in repetition, nothing is ever the same.
