Really liking Chris Perrins’ Mecha. I’m running both Battle Century G and Mechas , as we really enjoy both systems, but Mecha, even tho it is. Mecha RPG Softcover has 10 ratings and 6 reviews. Thanks Chris, that looks very useful! That mechs, prior to that, we had a lot of fun with the system. A good RPG title.
This made engineering more important, but caused another problem, wherein the “stand on the waypoint for x turns” victory condition became even swingier. The art suffices, and while their is a lot of variety in the human characters presented, I think the book would have benefited from seeing more styles of mecha to go along with them. Fighting to control the map objective instead of destroying or killing your opponent is great.

In this case, I think mechaa confusion is warranted because I had a clear picture in my head of the way the Configurations worked and I assumed that everyone shared the vision in my head. Although, he did cheat a little bit and then rules lawyered that he should be able to cheat. I loved the Capture Point system and how important positioning and mobility became in combat. I guess you peerrin seeing them as sort of being sacrificed to provide the attack, while I get see them as being used directly.
Engineering is pretty much a useless stat: This configuration allows you to use Movement dice as Vhris dice. In all, its a fine system, and a fantastic effort. Last, as for the lack of battlemap and character sheet…yeah, those were big oversights that we tried to correct by putting the sheet on MechaRPG.
I hope soon to share more good news. Next, I am really happy you used the random event tables. Statistically, once you hit 4, you’ll have a superior chance of getting a success in the many d6s you roll, it’s extremely swingy.
